MAKE it a “me” Sunday, ladies, by celebrating with us at the WOW-Women Do Wonders Talks and Bazaar at SEGi University, Kota Damansara this weekend. And bring the men and kids too!
The Star Media Group’s WOW-Women do Wonders campaign, with AirAsia as the main sponsor, is holding a month-long celebration of women’s achievements and contributions, in conjunction with International Women’s Day which fell on March 8.
Soak in the positive vibes and be inspired by the brilliant women who epitomise all that is wonderful and possible when they believe in themselves and aim high.
Leading the charge are AirAsia’s power women – AirAsia X Bhd chairman Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz and AirAsia Bhd chief executive officer Aireen Omar – who will be out to convince you #GirlsCanDoAnything.
Former International Trade and Industry minister Rafidah, whose candid views always pack a lot of punch, will set the tone for the talks.
Aireen, who played a vital role in AirAsia’s transformation into Asia’s trailblazing low-cost airline, will talk about how she forged her path and made her mark.
The talks will be followed by a panel discussion on trailblazing women that promises to be robust and invigorating, judging from the line-up of remarkable women from diverse backgrounds and fields.
What they have in common is the boldness to pursue their dreams and the acumen to navigate the challenges.
Producer-actress Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, CIMB Investment Bank chief executive officer Datuk Kong Sooi Lin, healthy living website PurelyB.com chief executive officer Jesrina Arsyad, servicewoman and Caring Moms co-founder Major Shera Ann Bosco will share their experiences and wisdom, with NGO WOMEN:girls founder Low Ngai Yuen as moderator.
We will amp up the day further with Hong Kong singer, actress, TV host and DJ Maria Cordero, who is adored for her powerful voice and gregarious personality.
Known as Fei Ma (Fat Mama), Cordero will share her life story and thrill fans with a showcase specially formulated for the WOW-Women do Wonders event.
So make your way to SEGi University in Kota Damansara to be in the company of these awesome women.
Engage with them and let their stories inspire you.
Bring your young daughters and sons, nieces and nephews and grandchildren, for these women are role models they could emulate. Who knows, listening to their stories could be the catalyst to the young ones to dream big and reach for the stars.
