Keeping children safe indoors


Dr de Bruyne says there are indoor factors that might cause asthma in children.

CHILDREN who spend up to 20 hours a day indoors may be at risk from allergy attacks and asthma, according to a roundtable discussion at Pantai Hospital in Kuala Lumpur.

A part of Nippon Paint’s Wellness for Children campaign, the recent discussion – entitled “Mitigating Common Indoor Household Risk for Children focusing on immunology and asthma” – was aimed at empowering parents with the knowledge to make informed decisions regarding their children’s development.
