THREE generations of a family gathered to observe an old tradition during the Ponggal Festival organised by the Seberang Prai Municipal Council in Bagan Luar, Butterworth, Penang.

Council staff member R. Sarugunaselan, 36, brought along his sons aged eight and five to the event. Accompanying them were his mother K. Thangespari, 56, and other family members.
