CAMERON HIGHLANDS remained a popular destination for holidaymakers during the Chinese New Year holidays despite the collapse of a 30m-long stretch of road at KM44 of Jalan Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands route just days before the celebration.

A check by MetroPerak found not only large numbers of tourists flocking to the highland resort but also people stopping their vehicles by the side of the road at the badly eroded stretch to breathe in the fresh air as well as to pose for photographs.
