Food chain unveils fish sandwich

KUCHING: SugarBun Restaurant is promoting its new Fortune Fish Meal in conjunction with the Chinese New Year.

The sandwich is filled with New Zealand’s Hoki fish fillet, served with sweet and tangery sauce, savoury rice and pickles.

“SugarBun’s fish fillet is made either from blue grenadier or New Zealand whiptail –which have rich flavourful taste due to their high level of fat content.

“Our sauce adds a new twist to the old-time favourite fillet,” SugarBun said in a statement.

The Fortune Fish Meal is sold at RM10.80 and customers get three-layer tea for an additional RM1.80.

“Redeem the limited edition Golden Rooster ang pow with a purchase of Fortune Fish meal from RM22 and above in a single receipt.

“This offer is valid while stocks last and is not available at airport outlets,” SugarBun said.

The company also said its Menara Hap Seng and Ara Damansara outlets were now offering the chicken sandwich to customers in Kuala Lumpur.

SugarBun is a Sarawak-based food chain established in 1979.

It prides itself in introducing the best of Borneo delicacies such as Sarawak laksa, giant garoupa, roast chicken and fish burger at all its outlets, including Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Brunei.

SugarBun has 89 outlets, including Bangladesh and Melbourne, Australia.
