MALACCA: The Malacca Umno Liaison Body is adopting the “aftercare” programme to get closer to new voters that it had registered so that they would vote for the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming general election, said its chairman Datuk Seri Idris Haron.

Idris, who is also the state’s chief minister, said 58,500 new Malay voters had been registered since the 13th general election until the third quarter of last year and through the aftercare programme, the voters would be invited to join the various events organised by the party.
