New home for strays

New home: Max Yong (left) and his wife Jojo, founders of the animal welfare NGO Story and Seed with some of the rescued stray dogs that will be housed in the new shelter.

THE SIGHT of many stray dogs living on the streets has prompted a husband and wife pair to build a shelter for them.

Under a newly registered non-governmental organisation called “Story and Seed”, co-founders Max and Jojo Yong have started to build the shelter with several dog sheds from scratch on a piece of land allocated to them by a Good Samaritan.
