Extension works approved by Unesco

A small part of Christ Church is being extended to display the relics.

MALACCA: Approval was given for renovation work in Christ Church which is located within the Unesco core zone in Banda Hilir here.

State Deputy Tourism, Coastal Development, River and Island Development committee chairman Datuk Ghazale Muhamad said it took two years for the state museum to obtain permission from Unesco and the National Heritage Department before work could proceed at the back portion of the building.
