Sasaran is located in a fishing village in Kuala Selangor. The Sasaran Arts Association, which has hosted three arts-related events in the area in 2008, 2011 and 2014, hopes to instil appreciation for art among the villagers through the upcoming art gallery.
THE Sasaran Art Exhibition Gallery at Sasaran, Pekan Sungai Buloh will be the first arts centre built in a fishing village in Malaysia.
During the groundbreaking ceremony for the gallery, Selangor Local Government, New Village Development and Legalising of Factories Committee chairman Ean Yong Hian Wah said the arts centre would be built on a river reserve.
