Parking fee hike draws flak from public

ON JULY 18, motorists in the city got a rude awakening when they discovered that charges at parking bays owned by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) within the central business district (CBD) had been increased by 150%.

StarMetro had broken the story on that very day, reporting on the hike in parking charges from 80sen an hour to RM2 for the first hour and RM3 for subsequent hours.
