Sustainable forest management gains ground

KUCHING: The ongoing pilot Kubaan-Puak Corridor project in the interiors of Ulu Tutoh, to push for sustainable forest management (SFM), will enter its final year of implementation in 2017.

It is hoped that by then, forest management units (FMUs) within the project area that connect part of the Heart of Borneo will obtain certification, said state Forestry director Sapuan Ahmad.
