IF YOU are looking for the latest on local lifestyle, then the hip, urban, relevant and real television (hurr.tv) may just be your cup of tea.

The online lifestyle channel and video streaming platform covers such areas as lifestyle trends, fashion, food, fitness, DIY tips and contemporary issues, often featuring local celebrities.

Speaking at the launch held at Live House in TREC, Kuala Lumpur, hurr.tv project director Elaine Daly, host-actor-model and national director of the Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation, said hurr.tv was conceived in February in response to the huge demand for quality online content.

“As a platform designed to entertain, inspire and inform, we focus on all things hip and trendy in Kuala Lumpur.

“We offer bite-sized video clips for youth on-the-go, especially those who have no time to watch television and prefer mobile phones and tablets,” she said.

Viewers can now enjoy a line-up of 11 segments comprising five new episodes uploaded weekly on hurr.tv, available on interconnected devices.

Among the more popular shows are Cakap Je discussing current and trending topics; DIY with Nigel Chin sharing his handy tips on craftsmanship; In & Out KL covering the latest events in the city; Swarna Jam uncovering live bands around the country with aspiring singer Swarna Naidu; and Style It Right featuring stylish fashion tips and tips by leading fashionistas and style gurus.

Foodies would want to be on the lookout for Makan Minum Kopi which hunts down the best delicacies and food joints, not to mention Eat Me Now which offers simple recipes you can prepare at home.

In addition, fans of Miss Universe Malaysia can get the latest updates from The Next Miss Universe Malaysia, which follows the journey of 18 hopefuls as they vie for the coveted 2017 crown, while fans of Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 Kiran Jassal can follow her year-long journey as reigning queen in Kiran’s Diary.
