Miri police seeks public cooperation to beef up neighbourhood safety

MIRI: Miri’s top cop has proposed a “joint-venture” with resident committees (RCs) to undertake neighbourhood patrolling in areas listed as crime hotspots, especially at night and pre-dawn hours.

Miri police chief Asst Comm Khoo Leng Huat said police-residents patrol units would be to formed to keep watchful eyes on residential areas.
