KUCHING: The state government has formulated a rural transformation plan to address the lack of basic infrastructure and social amenities in rural areas.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said a systematic and integrated catch-up plan was needed to bridge the gap in facilities such as roads, schools, clinics, treated water and electricity supply.
