Single-cell culvert to mitigate floods

Works to clear drains and culverts off mud and rubbish began at Bandar Puchong Jaya near IOI Mall Puchong after heavy floods stalled traffic and affected businesses at 1 Puchong Business Park on Tuesday.

LONG-TERM flood mitigation plans to address flooding in Bandar Puchong Jaya will include upgrading the three-cell culvert at the entrance to the LRT station and IOI mall into a single-cell culvert to improve water flow, Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) president Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan said.

He said this would be done by Prasarana Malaysia Bhd by March next year.
