THE Perak government has been asked to compensate farmers in the Hulu Perak district, who suffered heavy losses due to wild elephants trampling on their crops recently.

Salbiah Mohamed (BN-Temenggor) said one of the farmers even suffered a broken arm in a desperate attempt to stop the elephants.
