JOHOR BARU: Many residents living in flood prone areas have already started preparing to face possible floods as the monsoon season approaches.

Businesswoman Zaiton Shariff, 56, who has been residing in Kampung Kangkar Tebrau for the past 25 years, said that flood occurrences in the area was common and that she had spent more than RM100,000 to renovate her house to make the ground level higher.
