KUCHING: A supermarket in Serian has been charged for hoarding 595kg of cooking oil and 2,515kg of sugar during an operation carried out by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry on Monday.
State deputy director Abdul Hafidz A Rahim said enforcement officers raided the supermarket following investigation on foreigners caught trying to smuggle the essential items through the Tebedu border checkpoint last weekend.
