Cooking-oil providers warned to follow halal guidelines set by Jakim

Providers of cooking oil in Perak have been warned to comply with halal guidelines set by Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim).

Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism State Deputy Director Suhaimi Mat Sari said this after he told reporters that the ministry had raided a premises in the Jelapang Maju Light Industrial Park last Tuesday for using recycled storage tins to store cooking oil.
