Public cautioned on danger of live cables

SEB is urging the public to exercise extreme caution when coming across damaged cables such as this.

KUCHING: Members of the public should practise extreme caution when coming across damaged power facilities such as fallen poles, street lighting columns or broken cables caused by accidents or strong winds during the year-end monsoon period.

Issuing this advice, Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB) said under no circumstances should anyone be in close proximity or come into contact with live cables, which could lead to serious injury or death.
