RESTAURANTS and factories in Perak are being told to refrain from buying the subsidised cooking oil in 1kg polybags meant for the lower-income group.
State Consumer Affairs Committee Chairman Datuk Samsudin Abu Hassan said the original purpose of the subsidised oil costing RM2.50 is to help the poor and it is not for restaurants or other establishments to purchase.
