Selangor motorists can now file complaints on potholes via Waze, through a collaboration between Selangor local authorities and Google Asia Pacific under the Waze Connected Citizen Programme.

The agreement was inked on Sept 23.

Motorists can report potholes by tagging, or posting a 'flag', on the location in the online navigation system. The information will then be channelled to the local authorities for action.

During the Selangor budget 2017 meeting yesterday, Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said a middleware will be built to compile complaints and monitor the repair work.

Aside from compiling complaints, the local authorities involved - Petaling Jaya City Council, Subang Jaya Municipal Council, Ampang Jaya Municipal Council and Kajang Municipal Council- must also update road users of any road closures.
