Government to use drones in agriculture planning

KUCHING: The Modernisation of Agriculture and Rural Economy Ministry will use drones to carry out geospatial mapping on agriculture commodities and crops across the state.

Its minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said the technology would be used to study the distribution of crops such as oil palm, rubber, pepper, coconut and sago, to create a more strategic planning for Sarawak.
