MALACCA: Lawyer Datuk Tan Hor Sam and his wife Datin Koh Bee Chu arrived in style to participate in the Win With Words 2016 contest at Mahkota Parade here.

Tan who was dressed in a black coat and tie, spent an hour at the Star Media Group’s booth interacting with staff.

The Star has been my favourite newspaper for many years,” he said when met at the roadshow recently.

Tan is currently honorary chairman and legal adviser for 25 associations in Kuala Lumpur and Malacca including sports, clans, religious, cultural and education bodies.

He also is an adviser for the Malacca Newspaper Vendors Association.

Tan said The Star could still maintain its position as the leading English newspaper because its editorial coverage was wide and it reports the news from all aspects which included its multiracial approach.

The final two roadshows will be held at AEON Tebrau City in Johor Baru and I Luv Coffee & Tea Expo at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre from Oct 28 to 30.

By signing up for The Star Bundle or ePaper at any of these roadshows, subscribers will get an extra 500 points.

This is also applicable for those renewing or adding another year to their paper subscription.

Subscribers also stand a chance to win one of the five lucky subscriber prizes which include a 4D/3N holiday package to Krabi, Thailand, for two and a 40-inch full HD flatscreen TV.

Win With Words 2016 is organised by Star Media Group in conjunction with its 45th anniversary celebration, with IJM Land Bhd and official car partner Naza Kia.

There are four series to the contest. The last series, Bandar Rimbayu Series, will run until Oct 30.

The first prize winner of each series and six lucky participants from across all the series will then take part in the Grand Finale Challenge which will be held on Nov 29 at the venue partner, 1Utama Shopping Centre.

Attractive prizes worth over RM480,000, including two cars, are up for grabs in the contest.

In addition, 45 lucky participants for each series will walk away with RM500 as part of The Star Anniversary Bonus Prize.
