Protection needed for ecotourism spots

KUCHING: While the country is chasing for higher number of tourist arrival, there is a need for this to be controlled in the areas of ecotourism.

Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) president Datuk Hamzah Rahmat said tourism players should monitor the volume and frequency of visitors in ecotourism destinations as means to preserve and protect the environment.
