Five elephants to be relocated


An elephant from the Kuala Gandah National Elephant Conservation Centre (left) being used to guide a wild elephant onto a truck to be relocated to the Royal Belum Rainforest on Thursday.

The painful cries of an elephant calf that got entangled in a wire trap shocked villagers at Kampung Ulu Kuang last Saturday.

The calf, about 12 years old, was one of a herd of five elephants that had been seen near the village.
