KUCHING: Miri-based shipbuilder Sealink International Bhd (SIB) has settled a longstanding dispute with a Penang-based shipyard over the construction of two chemical carriers more than eight years ago.
SIB said under a settlement agreement, the company had accepted a settlement sum of US$1.5mil (RM6.2mil) with Boustead Penang Shipyard Sdn Bhd (BPS) as full and final settlement of all claims and counterclaims arising out of the shipbuilding contract dated April 3, 2008.
