Songbird of Sing! China fame wows local audience

The audience whipping out their mobile devices to record Pei Ling singing during the dinner at SJK (C) Shang Wu in Penang.

SOME 750 guests at a temple dinner had a treat when Jeryl Lee Pei Ling, who became an overnight sensation when she made the finals of the ‘Sing! China’ competition, serenaded them with three songs.

Pei Ling, one of the six finalists in the competition held last week, belted out Wo Deng Dao Hua Er Ye Xie Liao (I waited until the flowers withered) by Jacky Cheung, Fight Song by Rachel Platten and Chi Bang (Wings) by JJ Lin.
