THIRTY-ONE high-rise units at the People’s Housing Project (PPR) in River Road, Penang, had their power supply cut by Tenaga Nasional Berhad after they were found to be stealing electricity.

Penang Island City Council (MBPP) Financial Management Committee alternate chairman Joseph Ng said the two-hour operation was carried out on the units due to the danger posed from electricity theft activities.
