FOR the second year running, the FitForLife health fair will return to Penang with the aim to inspire Malaysians towards living a healthier lifestyle.
To be held from Oct 14 to 16 at the SPICE Arena (PISA) in Bayan Lepas, the fair will highlight the latest healthy lifestyle tips including nutrition, fitness and diet trends.
This extension of the annual FitForLife in Kuala Lumpur will also see exciting stage activities, health talks and exhibition booths.
To ensure the message of a healthier lifestyle is delivered, several participating companies were seen balloting for their desired spots, at Menara Star, Section 16, Petaling Jaya.
“Due to the good response, we are back this year with not one but two booths and we hope to inspire visitors to lead healthier lifestyles,” said one of the participants, Wellness Concept (M) Sdn Bhd sales and operation assistant manager Tan Hong Siang.
She added that health issues varied with different people but everyone had health concerns on their minds.
Joining her at the balloting event was a representative from Swiss Bio Pharma Sdn Bhd, Elyssia Chin, who aims to raise awareness on unhealthy modern lifestyles and how to change it.
“Our company sells traditional health supplements and most people do not understand that it takes a longer time to see its effects,” she said.
Chin added that these supplements would need to be paired with a lifestyle change in order to see a difference.
This year’s theme “Get Fit. Live Great!” was set to inspire Malaysians to lead a healthy lifestyle and adopt a holistic approach that includes physical and mental fitness, financial health and general fitness.
FitForLife Penang 2016 is organised by The Star with Great Eastern Life as the exclusive event partner.
Other sponsors include Nestle Omega Plus (Official Wellness Sponsor) and Guardian (Healthcare Provider).
The fair is open from 10am to 7pm and admission is free. For enquiries, call 03-7967 1388 (ext 1243/1432/1529) or visit www.facebook.com/thestarhealthfair
