Syabas head of corporate communications Amin Lin Abdullah said the closure of the plant was due to raw water odour pollution.
"A few areas located at the end of the water supply distribution line and those on higher ground is still experiencing water supply interruption as the main service reservoir has not reached its optimum level," he said in a statement sent to Star Metro at 11am today adding that water at the Kuala Langat district has been fully restored.
Areas affected by the water cut are as follows:
Bukit Serdang 3,4,5,6,7 and 8, Jalan Pekan Sri Kembangan, Apartment Megaria, Taman Serdang Utama, Puchong Hartamas and Bandar Puteri Puchong.
Bandar Sunway Semenyih, Bandar Tasik Kesuma, Bandar Teknologi Kajang, Kajang Utama, Semenyih Immigration Detention Centre, Taman Bangi Jaya, Taman Bukit Semenyih, Taman Desa Kenanga, Taman Bukit Kajang Baru, Taman Desa Mewah, Taman Desa Mutiara and Taman Dusun Jaya.
Remedial measures are being expedited for the said areas.
Syabas tankers will continue to deliver water supply to the affected areas for the time being.
