MBPJ wants details of private waste contractors starting January

Unscrupulous contractors have been dumping construction and renovation waste at Petaling Jaya's Astaka field.

BULK waste is often dumped at riverbanks, residential areas, abandoned houses and public fields.

To address this issue, Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is making it compulsory, effective Jan 1 next year, for those seeking the services of private waste collectors to provide details of the collection contractors to the council, Petaling Jaya mayor Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain said at the full board meeting yesterday.
