‘Don’t underplay mental-health issues’

Kuala Kangsar MP Datin Mastura Yazid (second from left) hitting the gong to launch the state-level World Mental Health celebration at SMK Bukit Merchu, Kuala Kangsar on Sept 24. With her are Health Department director Datuk Dr Juita Ghazalie (foreground, right) and organising committee members.

AMONG some of the immediate places Datin Mastura Yazid wanted to visit after the end of her iddah (mourning period) was the site in Lingga, Sarawak where her late husband’s body was recovered.

The wife of former Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Wan Mohammad Khairil Anuar Wan Ahmad, who took over her late husband’s post after winning the parliamentary by-elections in June, said she felt she needed to visit the site to seek closure.
