Cargo ship detained for anchoring illegally off Tanjung Piai

JOHOR BARU: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has detained a cargo vessel along with 10 Indonesian crew members for anchoring without permission off Tanjung Piai waters in Pontian.

MMEA Johor Baru operation commander Iskandar Ishak said that a patrolling unit spotted the vessel anchored at 4.4 nautical miles southeast of Tanjung Piai at about 11.30am on Thursday.
