THE annual lantern parade held in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, attracted about 40,000 people.
The event organised for the 14th year saw a big number of children accompanied by their parents at the Insa Dunia food court area as early as 5.30pm to collect their lanterns and goodie bags.
