CHANTS of “Ganapati Bappa Moriya”, and a colourful procession were the sounds and sights along the road leading to Kinta River in Ipoh as hundreds of devotees walked miles to immerse the idol of Lord Ganesh earlier this week.

The ritual was carried out after a seven-day long Ganesh Chathurthi festival recently in honour of the elephant-headed deity, Ganesh at the Sanatan Dharam Sabha (Lord Krishna Mandir) on Lahat Lane.
