Too small for comfort

The hawkers have to move to make way for a road widening project in Lebuhraya Thean Teik, Penang.

THE Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) has urged the Penang Island City Council to review the hawker lots in Lebuhraya Thean Teik, claiming that they are too small and not conducive for business.

Its president S.M. Mohamed Idris said the council had marked 33 lots along the kerbside in front of the police quarters for hawkers who had to make way for a nearby road expansion project.
