Feeding the homeless on National Day

SEGi College students preparing food outside KL Krash Pad in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

ON THE morning of Malaysia’s 59th National Day, before the sun rose, 45 students of SEGi College Kuala Lumpur and a handful of walk-in volunteers prepared, served and ate breakfast with some of city’s homeless.

They were at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, in front of Yayasan Chow Kit’s KL Krash Pad, just over 1km from Dataran Merdeka where the National Day parade was held.
