RANAU: Sabah Tea Resort is packaging a tour of its tea factory together with four other popular destinations along Mount Kinabalu’s Crocker Range .
The 5-in-1 destination package is priced at RM39 and the resort is offering visitors access to the Sabah Tea Factory Tour, Kundasang War Memorial, Kampung Luanti Fish Massage, Rumah Terbalik (Upside Down House) Tamparuli and Chanteek Borneo Gallery over three days.
The package, which was officially launched by state Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun is aimed at giving tourists to see more interesting and attractive sites while heading up to the Kundasang National Park and Ranau.
The tea company also launched its newly refurbished Sabah Tea Restaurant and Tea Shop.
The resort’s manager Ismail Martin Kong said there will be a mix of western and Asian food as well as Borneo cuisine.
“Signature offerings include the Chicken with Bambangan (wild mango), Beef with Tuhau (wild ginger) and Sayur Bukit from Ranau,” he said.
They would also showcase Sabah Tea-infused specialty items, including pancakes, waffles, ice cream, scones and even chicken soup.
“The restaurant takes pride in serving a Malaysian favourite with a local twist, the Sabah Tea Teh Tarik, infused with your choice of pandan, geranium or cinnamon,” he said, adding that the 650sqm restaurant could accommodate 200 diners.
Kong said that the tea shop next to the restaurant offers a wide selection of Sabah Tea products and features a giant teapot.
