Local council legalising food truck business

Food truck vendors in Petaling Jaya can legalise their businesses now by obtaining a licence from MBPJ.

FROM today onwards, food truck vendors in Petaling Jaya can legalise their businesses at the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Licensing Department. Licence will be issued by MBPJ under the state’s Food Truck Regulations.

“I urge food truck operators to apply for the licence. However, for now, they will have to do it manually at the Licensing Department as we do not have the online system up and running yet,” Petaling Jaya mayor Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain said at the MBPJ full board meeting.
