KUCHING: Sarawak is proud to welcome home our national diving starlet Pandelela Rinong Pamg after her triumphant win at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

The Sarawakian-born athlete brought home a silver medal for Malaysia through the 10m platform synchronised diving with Cheong Jun Hoong at the recent Games.

The state government will hold a homecoming celebration for the national Olympian which will be attended by Youth, Sports and Solidarity Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin Jawong.

She will then be escorted by 50 security forces personnel as she takes a special vehicle to the Kuching Civic Centre for the welcome home party, where state Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem is also expected to attend.

Fans and the public are invited to welcome the diving sweetheart home at the Kuching International Airport on Sept 3 at 4.15pm.
