SNACKING is not a bad habit if you can do it right.

Nestle Malaysia has introduced the new Nestum Grains & More Banana Caramel for consumers who are looking for a healthier alternative to give them that extra kick during a busy day.

“Any food-loving Malaysian will tell you they love to snack, and we wanted to share a nutritious solution for that pick-me-up in the middle of the day.

“That’s how we came up with this variant,” said Nestle Malaysia business executive manager for milks Ng Su Yen.

Ng said this was Nestum’s first beverage made with real bananas, mixed with caramel and an assortment of the brand’s well-known multi-grain flakes.

Nestle Malaysia corporate wellness manager Cher Siew Wei highlighted the benefits of having real bananas in the new product, saying that it contained qualities that were good for general health.

“Bananas contain natural goodness of dietary fibre. Each serving of Nestum Grains & More Banana Caramel is carefully formulated with 100% more vitamin C1 to give you 40% of your daily vitamin C requirement,” she explained.

In line with the product launch, Nestum is kicking off the #BananamelChallenge with celebrities Hunny Madu, Ironman athlete Karen Siah and sportswear brand Ash Be Nimble founder Hui Mathews.

The challenge will take place on social media platforms Facebook and Instagram where the celebrities will take on and share their five-day challenge to help encourage more mindful snacking habits.

They will each receive a Bananamel Box, specially designed to contain a sachet of the drink and rations of nuts, dried fruits and seeds curated by nutritionists to begin their challenge.

“Snacking may have a bad reputation, but in reality, we are encouraged to have three main meals with one to two nutritious 200kcal to 300kcal count snacks in between.

“At 110kcal per serving, the product is a good snacking alternative,” Cher added.

Nestum Grains & More Banana Caramel retails at RM11.53 per pack of 12 sachets.
