KUCHING: Officials and war veterans from Malaya-Borneo Veterans Association (MBVA) gathered to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the ceasefire and declaration of the end of the Indonesian Confrontation with Malaysia at the Heroes Memorial Park yesterday.

The association, which consists of Australian Air Force Cadet officers and veterans along with Malaysian Armed Forces, paid tribute to the unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives to defend the country in a simple ceremony.
