NINE residents from two homes had the scare of their lives when running water broke through the walls of their houses in the wee hours of the morning in Jalan Tanjung Tokong Lama, Tanjung Tokong in Penang.

Building executive Zaidi Noordin, 46, said that his mother-in-law, who was living next to his house, woke him to tell that water and mud was gushing into her home after the running water punched through the wall.
