MALACCA: The failure to do a complete soil study probably led to underground erosion at Malacca’s Central Market, said the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
Its president Tan Yean Chin said the building appeared to have been built on reclaimed land with compressible soil which could have caused the soil to subside.
