TWO WEEKS after StarMetro revealed that the Rawang Health Clinic, which houses the Gombak Vector-borne Disease Control Unit, was a hotspot for mosquito breeding, the premises has been cleaned up with the grass cut and rubbish cleared.
The Aug 1 front-page story “Unhealthy buzz at clinic” had shown that the unit, which monitors and conducts inspections to help prevent mosquito-borne diseases, was oblivious to the mosquitoes breeding in its own backyard.
