Raising a stink over factory odour

THE issue of a screw-coating factory allegedly emitting the smell of thinner to Kampung Permatang Tok Subuh in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, has not come to rest despite the authorities giving it the “all clear”.

A factory spokesman said the Depart-ment of Environment Department (DOE) had tested the air quality around the factory and found it to be within the safe limit.
