Tin mining dredge to be restored and open to the public

GONE may be Kinta Valley’s glorious days of tin mining but the Tanjung Tualang Dredge No. 5 will be proudly afloat for a long time to come.

Retired in 1982 because of tin export controls, the TT5 tin dredge located in the Batu Gajah district is getting a new lease of life as part of a 24.28ha tourist attraction costing RM30mil.
