PERAK has recorded a significant drop of 62.7% in dengue cases this year because of continuous efforts in destroying Aedes breeding grounds through gotong-royong and dengue awareness programmes.

State Health Committee chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said the state recorded 2,409 dengue cases between January 1 until July 23, compared to 6,351 cases within the same period last year.
