KUCHING: July 22 is a date all Sarawakians remember as the day the state gained independence from the British and began a new chapter with its own government 53 years ago.

The public, ministers and assemblymen from different parties set aside their differences and stood united to celebrate their love for the state in a meaningful ceremony at Waterfront Kuching.
